Welcome to the preview of our upcoming Rembrandt exhibition.
Due to the pandemic it had to be postponed several times. The opening is now scheduled for Thursday 23 September 2021. We will show 34 prints from the Kunstsammlung of the University of Göttingen. The exhibition is a fascinating encounter of the old master & new digital technologies.
The selection of prints was made by permanent fellow Ivan Gaskell, professor of cultural history at Bard Graduate Center & intellectual historian Martin van Gelderen, director of the Kolleg.
The catalogue is in production. Catalogue entries were written, amongst others, by ten talented Göttingen students who participated to the MA-seminar on Rembrandt, taught by Martin during the WS 2019/2020.
